At Sri Kodanda Ramaswamy Devasthanam, each day unfolds in a spiritual rhythm that nurtures devotion and uplifts the soul. The temple routine is carefully followed to maintain sanctity and provide devotees with an immersive divine experience.
The temple doors open to the sacred chants of Suprabhata Seva, awakening the deities from divine slumber. The tranquil air is filled with the vibrations of Vedic hymns and the fragrance of fresh flowers, signifying the start of a new day with Lord Rama.
The deities are bathed in sanctified water, milk, sandal, turmeric, and other sacred items during the Abhisheka. This is followed by Alankara (decoration) where the Lord and consorts are adorned with silk garments, jewels, and fragrant garlands, radiating divinity.
Devotees are invited to witness Archana and receive blessings through Mangala Arathi. Special prayers are offered in the name of devotees and families for health, prosperity, and protection.
Groups of devotees and volunteers often perform Ramayana Parayana, Vishnu Sahasranama, and melodious bhajans in praise of Lord Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu. The ambiance transforms into a sanctified space of divine music and deep devotion.
A special pooja is conducted during midday, offering cooked food (naivedyam) to the deities. The sanctified prasadam is later distributed among all present, as a token of divine grace.
As dusk descends, the temple comes alive again with Sandhya Arathi and devotional chants. Lamps are lit across the sanctum, symbolizing the light of righteousness and knowledge. The serene atmosphere invites calmness and introspection.
Regular satsangs, discourse sessions, special bhajans, and occasional classical music or dance performances enrich the evenings. Devotees engage in soulful participation, deepening their spiritual connection.
The day concludes with Shayana Seva (putting the deities to rest) and final Arathi. The temple doors close with the resonating sound of bells, echoing divine peace and fulfillment.
